主界面左下方有教学操作练习，游戏玩法很简单，如同其他音乐游戏，随着歌曲的进行，在画面上会出现泡沫状的节奏打击感应区域，玩家要做的是配合动态横线的上下扫描移动，抓准时机点击感应区累积积分，当然点击时越是准确则曲目结算时的评价越高。除了基本的气泡模式外，还有一种气泡需要你按住主气泡直到音乐能量充满，当然，这时候音乐一定是属于拉长音的桥段。还有一种难度更高的气泡，类似一条铁链，你必须在节拍上按住第一颗气泡后开始随着节奏和路径拖曳，拖曳的速度当然是跟着音乐走，如果可以顺利把所有节点都打在节拍上，就能获得很高的分数。

进入Cytus主画面，就是每一首曲目的漂亮封面，左右滑动可以切换曲目，点击下方简单或困难按钮可以切换难度，直接点击画面中央就可以进入歌曲挑战。在进入游戏画面后，我们可以在左方切换pop-up mode，这里可以决定游戏里的节奏气泡是像水波那样慢慢放大，还是像心脏那个跳动放大，两种模式玩起来会有不同的音乐律动感。而在右方的Click sound可以切换成功点击气泡时要不要出现节奏声音，这些节奏声音可以和音乐结合而让玩家有参与演奏的临场感。最后点击中间的Start就开始游戏了。

游戏插图画面十分精致优美，每首歌曲各有专属的代表图腾与封面搭配，虽以黑白两色为基调但却展现了大师级般具震撼性的视觉冲击，时尚和具现代感的歌曲特色令人深深感受但游戏音乐氛围。每种曲目都有简单与困难两种等级，供玩家挑战，当然更高难度的歌曲必须按部就班一步一步解锁。真的每一首都非常动听。

即使像Angry Birds这样简单的游戏，偶尔也会遇上一些画面迟滞的小乱流。我玩了Cyuts好一阵子，倒是都没遇过进行不顺的状况(后来在hard level泡泡多的时候还是lag了一下)可见编程设计师们真的很用心地在写这个游戏，在这边鼓掌支持一下。这类音乐游戏最重要的就是流畅度，毕竟没有人喜欢歌听到一半突然跳针的感觉。Cytus并没有为了让画面流畅而牺牲了画面的品质，除了配合歌曲精心绘制的底图外，泡泡渐变时的效果也很赏心悦目。介面上简洁而美观。不过如果说对这游戏的画面有什么不满的部份，大概就是缺少了现在流行的萌元素吧。
