德国战车（Rammstein），1993年在德国的东柏林，几个厌倦枯燥生活的年轻人走到了一起，于是一个在当时并不太惹人喜爱的乐队诞生了。他们的音乐充满力度，是典型的重金属+工业节奏+电子的摇滚风格，加上夸张变态的舞台表演，这种风格被乐评家称为(Shock Rock)休克摇滚。他们无疑是这种音乐风格最具代表的乐队。他们在歌曲的节奏方面，多数采用的是很流行的舞曲节奏——就是简单的4/4拍，同拍加上采样的失真吉他连复段，形成一种让人无端兴奋，想手舞足蹈的感觉。他们所用的背景采样，大多是清亮的，飘逸的，没有传统工业音乐中晦涩，沉重，更不象工业噪音中的那种嘈杂和无序。唱腔方面更是一听就有德国佬的感觉，低沉的男音，不管背景音乐多么让人兴奋激动，也始终压低声带，即便是和音的女声，也是采用中音的唱腔，整个感觉就是冷酷，压制，这时候音乐的节奏就感觉真象他们的名字——战车一样，层层推进，密不透风。
